St Patrick's College recognises an incredible program known as Work and Welcome which was originally started at Padua College in 1993. Work and Welcome is a unique program which provides refugees with paid work experience and job opportunities. Funded by staff donations, the program has been operating for many years at St Patrick’s College. We currently have Alex (middle) from Ukraine with us during Term 1, Jay (left) from Sri Lanka working permanently in the maintenance area and Maryam (right) from Afghanistan working permanently in the Science Department. It’s such a pleasure to have Maryam, Alex and Jay on our team. Thank you for the richness you bring to our community and we hope your time with us provides you with the security, hope, dignity and confidence to settle into your life in a new country.
