Losing Locks for a Good Cause
Did you know that blood cancer takes the lives of 16 Australians every day?
This statistic doesn’t sit well with our Director of Pedagogy & Innovative Learning, Adrian Brown. Over the past few months, Adrian has been growing his luscious locks and taking part in the World’s Greatest Shave raising funds for the Leukemia Foundation. Adrian’s fundraising culminated in the big chop at lunchtime yesterday much to the delight of our staff and students. As well as raising funds, Adrian’s tresses will be used to make a wig for someone in need. Special thanks to the staff from The Weekend Society for giving their time to prepare Adrian’s hair and coming to school to do the deed.
Thank you, Adrian, on believing in such a great cause and raising nearly $2000 to help beat blood cancer
