Commissioning Our 15th College Principal Mrs Amber Hauff
On Friday, 7th February 2025, we celebrated our Beginning of the Academic Year Mass Assembly. During this special occasion, Fr. Joe Duffy and Fr. Joseph Kannatt blessed our new students and staff, warmly welcoming them into our beautiful community. It was a momentous event, as we also commissioned Mrs. Amber Hauff as our 15th College Principal. We were honoured to have Songwoman Marrochy Borambay perform the Welcome to Country and bless the gathering.
Mrs. Hauff shared her vision for the future, expressing her commitment to lead with courage and compassion, while fostering an authentic Catholic ministry rooted in the Edmund Rice Tradition. She emphasized her dedication to building a strong future for our community and ensuring the continued growth and success of our school for our young men. As she said, "We are not just here to educate young minds; we are called to nurture and engage young hearts. Our mission is not only to impart knowledge but to inspire a way of living based on the example of Jesus. We inspire our young people to shine light where there is darkness, be brave, take action, and address injustice and inequality in our world."
Mrs. Hauff also reflected on our Year of Gratitude, encouraging us to recognize the many gifts that life offers. Grateful living invites us to see the ordinary as extraordinary, to appreciate the world around us, and to notice the beauty that surrounds us.
