Teacher Librarian Junior, Commencing 2025 - 12 month Contract
The role of the Teacher Librarian is to support the mission and ethos of the College and the Touchstones of the Edmund Rice Charter within the learning environment. It involves supporting the Head of Information Services in developing and implementing effective learning programs designed to accomplish the desired outcomes of the College’s Library.
The Teacher-Librarian will foster a love of reading, both as a key learning tool and as a life-long pleasure, support the learning of information and research skills, and assist with the development and maintenance of a diverse resource collection. The Teacher-Librarian will have a primary school focus and provide explicit links to the Junior School curriculum and whole college formation outcomes.
As a member of the teaching staff, the Teacher-Librarian will also interact with students, staff and parents in an appropriate manner as well as implementing processes and practices in keeping with the values and ethos of the College and designed to accomplish the desired outcomes of the College’s academic and pastoral programs.
These directions will align with, and support, the vision, mission and strategic plan of the college and align with touchstones embedded in the Charter for Catholic Schools in the Edmund Rice Tradition.
